Governesses are a highly respected and established member of domestic staff, who are trained to the very highest standard to provide your children with a fantastic and personal level of education.

Many of our consultants are bilingual or multilingual, are trained and experienced in placing governesses in Europe, the Middle East, Russia, and beyond.

Our governesses are educated to the highest level, and many are fluent in a second language, or even multilingual. Each of our governesses will have a unique method of educating and raising children. On considering your family’s ethos and needs, our consultants are well versed with their experience to match a good candidate to get along with you.
The candidates also come with years of experience in the nurturing and tuition of pre-school as well as school-aged children. They are well qualified to be with your children, as we understand and give more importance to what you need.

Childcare Help’s center of attention :
We are successful as an agency and our priority is your security and comfort. We have developed some vetting procedures over the years that each governess candidate needs to encounter before they get into action:
Reference inquiry
Interviewed and examined in person by a professional Childcare help consultant at United Kingdom Fitzrovia or Kings Cross office.
Required to undertake FAIB approved Paediatric First Aid Certification every 3 years. We are unique in offering such training onsite regularly including the weekends.
May be subject to a DBS or Police check.
Within 24 hours of your first call, the Candidate will appear for the interview at your convenience.

Efficient qualities that can be expected from the governesses or senior nannies are as follows:

• Social etiquette and cultural understanding.
• Ability to work alongside a nanny or mothers’ help.
• A minimum of five years of professional experience in teaching background including higher education.
• Experience in speaking more than a language (if required).
• Experience and professionalism.
• Ability to assist in schoolwork.
• Employment from 5 or 6 days per week and may work overnight.
• Nurturing of new-born babies to 16year old ones.
• Musical instrument teaching experience (if required).
• Education and social development of the children in your home.

Remuneration:
The governess and senior nannies’ payments rely on their experience. They range from £700 + net per week in the UK and £700 to £1500 net per week outside the UK depending on location, duties, and the candidate experience and qualifications.
